Occupational Therapy Job Summary:
Herts Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible, recovery focused Occupational Therapist to work within adult mental health community services (part time applicants will be considered). The post covers East Hertfordshire and is based in Stortford and Ware. You will be accountable to the local Team leaders with professional & Management supervision provided by the Head OT.
The Community Teams provide specialist care pathways for Adults mental health conditions & personality disorders as well as engaging in Safeguarding investigation and personal budget work. You will have responsibilities for providing specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions whilst also inputting into generic rotas for assessment and duty work and acting as Care coordinator for an agreed caseload.
The role is supported by an Assistant Therapy Practitioner for whom you will provide supervision. There is also a highly successful Band 5 rotation within the trust.
Professional and personal development is actively encouraged. OT services within HPFT have well established leadership and CPD structures & work to MOHO as the framework for evidence based interventions across the trust. These were noted as 'good practice' by the CQC in a recent visit. There is a dedicated web space for OT resources and developments to be shared as well as regular peer meetings. As a university trust we have strong links to post grad accredited training.
Several OTs who have left the trust in the past have returned citing the quality of the trust and OT services as the reason for this decision.
If this has still not convinced you of this excellent opportunity to enhance and build your skills please call Ian Gasson (Head OT) for more information/ informal discussion 07554437598
